Clearly I'm busy recovering VERY fast! :)

I still not mobile enough to do the "jumping-up-to-fetch-supplies" that's required for paper scrapping but lucky for me I'm bi-scraptual! I can at least sit in one place and fetch all my supplies while sitting down when I digi scrap.

I decided to create a new banner for my blog. While working on it, I get so distracted by all the lovely digi stash that I've accumulated over time. I ended up working on 2 banners at the same time! The one intended for my blog is not done yet, but I finished the other one and decided to give it away to somebody who likes it. So - if you like this banner and want to use it on your blog - leave a comment for me and I will pick a name by the end of the week (Friday, 7/8).

(Click on the image for larger view)

I will customise it with your photos and blog name and will help you to put it up on your blog too if you want.

Now my body tells me it's time to go lie down and watch a movie ... and who am I to object?! :D

OK - looks like I have to resort to blackmail!!!!

Seems like my only resort (and I truly hope it works!) to get you to send me your layouts is blackmail!

Hundreds of you have downloaded my freebies (which I appreciate!) but I don't get any links to your layouts where you've used it.

Here's the deal - you link me up to your layout/s where you've used (even if it's just one element) my designs and I'll send you the download link to my Spring Doodles kit.Sounds fair? Well I think so!

Can't wait to see your work!

Our Shangri-la

Skulls are very much the “in thing” at the moment. From kids to adult clothing, homeware and yes – even scrapbooking - there are skulls everywhere you look! For us (Leon and I) skulls have a bit of a deeper meaning than just a fashion fad. We found our little piece of heaven on earth – our Shangri-la – at the Skeleton Coast of Namibia.

Leon has been going there on fishing trips for over 20 years now and he is so much in love with that place! His entire being changes when he talks about it. I couldn’t really understand what he was going on about until he took me there for the first time. It’s something you have to experience for yourself – no word (in my limited English vocabulary at least) can describe the beauty of the desert and the ocean there!! We would love to retire there one day.

This is my layout that I made with this set:
I made this friendly skully set with our Shangri-la in mind. Hope you will be able to use it too. The set consists of:
2 x plain cardstock with inked edges (black and white)
2 x patterned paper with a skully design
2 x skully charms (with and without ring)
1 x skully lace paper
1 x torn and distressed cardboard skully
1 x plain skully
1 x brown paper skully
1 x distressed skully strip
1 x journaling block
3 x plastic embellies to cheer up your skully page (crown, heart, flower)

This is what it looks like from up close: If you like it, you can download the set here: (link expired)
Be sure to visit my blog because in a day or two I will a matching alphabet ready for you – similar to the one in my layout but each letter will be separate.

Enjoy!

Who's game for a challenge?

Right - this time it's not going to be just as easy as download-and-run. This time round you're going to have to play along to be able to get my freebie. I made a fun birdie mini kit with 2 x patterned papers, 1 x paper tree, 2 x cute little black birdies, 1 x acrylic bracket frame and 1 x journaling block. It's free to all those who's up for the challenge to make a lo with this set and send it to me by the end of the weekend. But wait ... there's more! (I'm starting to sound like the home shopping ads!) I'll give a bonus freebie to all those who play along after all the lo's are posted.

Here's what you have to do - send me a message using the contact block in my sidebar. I will send you the link and the password to download the little bird set. You then have the whole weekend to play and create - I need all the LO's e-mailed back to me or you can let me know where you've posted it too. On Tuesday I will post all the LO's on my blog and send the bonus freebie to all those who played along. Sounds like fun, right!
So here's a close up of what this set looks like:

And here is the whole set.
You are welcome to add as many other stuff as you want to.
Paper / Hybrid scrappers are also more than welcome to join in the fun.
Can't wait to get your e-mails so I can start sending the link!

Feels like Valentines Day!

My head is full of ideas and they're all in the shape of a heart! Only wish I had more time to design. Today I have heart patterned paper as well as red and pink scalloped heart shaped textured papers. I still plan to make more elements, journaling blocks and frames so come back again later this week to complete the set. Here's a closer look at today's papers:
You can click on the image or here (link expired) to take you to the download link. And by the way - I received messages from a whole lot of girls who can't open my .rar files. Good news - you don't have to buy WinRAR. You can download Zipeg for free! Just click on the link in my sidebar that says Soft82. With this cute little piece of software you will be able to unzip not only .zip files but also .rar files and if you can believe them - a whole lot of other archival files too!
Now I'm off to spend a little bit of cuddle time with my boys! :)

I promised you a freebie ...

... so here it is. Another set of lace papers. This time it's hearts all over! When I thought about a name for these papers the name "Lovelace" sprang to mind - you remember Lovelace from Happy Feet? Well - it made me smile so I decided to call them Love Lace - get it? :)I made pink and red papers then I distressed them - in this set are both the plain and the distressed papers in both colours. I plan to make more papers and elements to match these so watch out later this week for some more freebies. Hope you like them and if you do use them - please, please show what you made with it. :)Here are some close-up views of the paper. You can click on the image or here (link expired) to go to the download link.

A bright, pink freebie for a cold, grey day!

I know that the Northern Hemisphere is in the middle of Summer and there's no sign of greyness but here in my world it is cold and grey today. The sun only showed it's pretty face for a wee bit this afternoon but now it's grey again ... and cold ... bitterly cold. Definitely the coldest day so far this winter.

It's Saturday so I don't really mind the cold. I can stay indoors and play with pixels all day long! Photoshop is so amazing and I can colour my world any way I want!. I decided that pink would be perfect to give colour to my grey day. Here is the LO that I made. I just love this photo of Celine!
You're welcome to join in the pink happiness and download my Pretty in Pink set here (link expired) for free .
Enjoy! :)

Another Freebie!

When I first saw Lace Paper I was soooo thrilled! What a great idea to have diecut paper in all sorts of beautiful shapes and colours! I've used real paper Lace Paper on a couple of LO's already and always wondered if I'll be able to recreate it digitally. I just had to give it a go. For my first attempt was I used numbers and I love how it turned out. Can't wait to do the same with flowers and hearts and stars and ... well ... whatever tickles my mojo! :) Here's a LO that I made with the very first digi lace paper that I made.

Numbers are always usefull, so I hope you'll enjoy using it as much as I did creating it.

Click on the picture or here to go to the download link where you can download all 4 papers at once.
The file is rather big so if you prefer, you can download each paper individually:

(sorry - all link have expired)

Orange Number Lace Paper

Pink-Red Number Lace Paper

Plum Number Lace Paper

Turkois Number Lace Paper

All I ask in return is that you share your lo's with me once you've used it - pretty please!

My very first freebie!

I promised you a freebie so here it is - my very first digi freebie! I know it's not much but hey, I'm getting there. I was so inspired by the little clouds on the ad in Kim Watson's challenge #4 that I decided to make my own in PS and while I did it I decided to share it with whoever likes it.

Here is the LO I made for her challenge inspired by that gorgeous Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream ad. Part of the challenge was to make a LO about desert. I decided to use this photo of Marco - taken a couple of years ago. The history behind the photo is as follows: My mom makes a devine chocolate sauce and everytime she makes it, my kids fight over who gets to "lick the pot". Needless to say - on this day Marco won the fight and I took this photo when he was finished "licking the pot". Notice the chocolate sauce all over his face - even on his forehead!!! Translated the title means "Granny Anna's chocolate sauce is heavenly!"

Now on to the freebie as promised. Click on the picture or here (link expired) to download all the clouds - transparent and white - as well as the brackety notebook paper that I used as the background. Hope you like it. If you use it - please let me know so I can see!
