Blogging Friends Forever Award!!!

Yay! I've been blessed with yet another blog award! This time it was passed on to me by my new blogging friend - the very talented scrapper - Caro! Thanks so much Caro - I really appreciate the sentiment of "Blogging Friends Forever!"The Rules of this award are as follows:
1. I must pass the award on to five people.
2. Four must be dedicated followers of your blog.
3. One has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. you must link back to whoever gave you the award.

As I've only been blogging for 2 and a half months now I can't really claim any "dedicated followers" of my blog so I'll have to just pass it on to girls that I regard as blogging friends - and they are:

Kim Watson
Annette West
Brenda O'Reily
Sam Ellis

And then "
someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world" - this one goes to eilandkind - an Afrikaans speaking expat South Africa who now lives on the Virgin Islands - what an idylic life - you have to check out her site - even if you can't understand a word - just look at the pretty pictures! :)

I'm Alive!

I'm glad to report back that I am indeed alive and well! :)

I didn't have internet access this weekend which is the only reason for my silence. I feel refreshed and rejuvenated after my day at the spa. We had a ball and were treated like queens. I took a couple of snaps with my cellphone camera - will try to post them later this week.

Spring is in the air which makes me feel even better! We sat outside until late on Saturday evening - without jackets of jerseys! They kids played and played and we just couldn't get them to come inside when it was bedtime. I'm so glad that Spring is early for a change! I know we'll probably get another cold spell or two but the trees are starting to bloom and it feels like Spring in my heart so I am HAPPY!!!! I took photos of the blossoms on our fruit trees but haven't downloaded them from my camera - will post them later too.

This was the first weekend in weeks that I didn't do any scrapbooking - not paper or digi. I just didn't feel like doing anything but laze around and enjoy the hotter weather. I have to admit that today is the also the first Monday in months that I don't feel exhausted! Maybe I should consider relaxing more over weekends! ;o)

I've been blessed with this lovely award by Trudi! Thanks Trudi! You must go visit her blog - she's got the most amazing decorating ideas on there!
The rules are simple:
1 Make a blog post where you pass the award on to seven blogs you like and
2 Post a comment at their blog to tell them about the award!
It's so difficult to choose only 7 because there are so many blogs that I love, but this time, I'm giving the award to some of my new scrappy, bloggy SA friends:
I pray that every reader of my blog will be blessed with a happy happy week full of pleasant surprises, lots of hugs and kisses and smiles!!!!
Will be back again soon!

I won a tagged award! :)

I was blessed with this award by Annette – thanks Annette! BUT there’s a catch! Together with the award goes a tag – so now I’m tagged and I have to answer the following questions – then pass it on.

The rules as I understand them are...I answer the questions below and tag 5/6 folk by visiting their blogs and inviting them to visit my blog so they can see what needs to be done. Here we go...

Ten Years ago: That would be 1998 – Marco was born in January that year, which means that I was on maternity leave for half of that year. I’m sure most of you will know what a mother does in the first year of her new baby’s life and on top of that I had another two and a half year old boy demanding attention. I was BUSY alright – VERY busy!

Five things in today's "to do" list:
Yay – it’s Sunday so my to-do list (actually I don’t have one) is filled with nice things1) Make breakfast for the family. Tick2) Go for a fun drive to a nearby nature reserve3) Take lots of photos4) Do grocery shopping for the week.5) Watch the Sunday night premier movie on TV.
Snacks I enjoy: Cheese of any kind! My favourite at to moment is Camembert cheese with macadamia and Cashew nuts and fig preserve – yum!

Things I would do if I was a millionaire:
I would travel the world and take photos as I go along
I would have all the scrapping time I want and all the supplies to match
I would give generously to the poor – even now I feel so guilty for enjoying all my wonderful blessings while others can’t even fulfill their basic needs

Places I have lived:
Only South Africa – in the following towns:
A farm near Klerksdorp in the Northwest Province
Klerksdorp, Northwest Province
Potchefstroom, Northwest Province
Vereeniging, Gauteng
Sasolburg, Freestate
Now – part time Parys, Freestate

Now, I think I am supposed to tag 5 more people so I choose...
